Jen DiCicco

Dr. Jen DiCicco is a lifetime advocate of children with special needs.  She holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University and has worked in many pediatric therapy settings.  Jen specializes in the treatment and prevention of developmental delay in infants and toddlers. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the mission of unlocked.  Jen grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Charlotte in 2010 where she lives with her husband Dave and their three children, Allie, Taylor, and Dylan.

Chris Jonas

Chris is Locke’s dad and created unlocked to help kids like him.  While navigating Locke’s medical care and the world of special needs, it became apparent that much work was needed in our community to help other children obtain the assistance they need and deserve.  Chris is committed to helping children reach their God-given potential by helping provide the adaptive and medical equipment they need.  Chris is a graduate of Furman University and works in commercial real estate with Jones Lang LaSalle in Charlotte.  Chris is married to Haley and they have two children, Pressley (14) and Locke (6).

Haley Jonas

Haley is Locke’s mom.  She and her husband, Chris, founded unlocked to fill a need in the community.  Since Locke’s diagnosis, Haley has devoted her time and energy to making sure his special needs are met.  The difficulty in obtaining medical services and equipment was eye opening and Haley realized that private insurance and Medicaid often do not cover the needs of children with disabilities.  Unlocked was created to provide support to those children.  Haley most recently served on the Board of Kids With PossAbilities, another local nonprofit that provides therapy and tuition for special needs children.  Haley is an attorney in Charlotte and has been married to her husband, Chris, for 22 years.  They have two children, Pressley and Locke.

Carolyn Mathews

Carolyn holds a degree in Business Administration from NC Wesleyan College.  She retired from Duke Energy, formerly Progress Energy, after 32 years with the company.  Carolyn is passionate about the special needs community and volunteered for many years with the Tapestry Class at her local church, which served teens and young adults with special needs.   Carolyn recently moved to Charlotte after living in both Raleigh and Hendersonville, NC.  She has two adult children and six grandchildren in Nashville and Charlotte, who affectionately call her “Bama.”

Jillian Sauve

Jillian is a Senior Marketing Data Analyst with eMoney Advisor.   Jillian has a heart for volunteerism and children with special needs. She has devoted many summers as a volunteer for the Constraint Induced Movement Therapy camp at Crossway Pediatric Therapy, where she first met Locke.  Jillian lives in Charlotte and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Russ Taylor

Russ is an Associate Director of Commercial Execution for Novo Nordisk.  He is a native Charlottean and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School.  He holds a degree in Business Administration from Samford University.  Russ is an active volunteer in the community.  He is involved with his Church where he is a leader in the children’s ministry.  He also coaches many of his children’s sports teams.  Russ is married to his wife, Jessica, and together they have four children ranging in age from 7-16.
